Francophone Holidays and
Traditions @ Globe-Gate
The way we commemorate events in our culture's history by setting apart specific times to
honor them, and what we do during those times, say much about us as a people. Our national holidays and our small-town celebrations are important for different
reasons. Using over 50 links, I have tried to include here as much information as I could find about
holidays, feast days and their traditions in the French-speaking world. I have not stopped with
national holidays or commonly celebrated religious feast days, but presented local celebrations where
they were available.
